Common pricing questions

1. What counts as a live QR page?

A live QR page is a published page that can currently be accessed by scanning its QR code. For example, Free includes up to 5 live QR pages, Starter includes 50, and Pro includes 300. Pages that are no longer live or have been deleted do not count toward your live page limit.

2. Can I update a QR page after publishing it?

Yes. LumeQR uses dynamic QR codes, so you can update text, images, links, PDFs, audio, videos, and other page content at any time without changing the QR code itself. That means you can keep using the same QR code even after it has been printed on menus, brochures, signs, business cards, or other materials.

3. What happens if I reach my plan limits?

If you reach your limit for live QR pages, file storage, or hosted videos, your existing content will continue to work. You’ll need to remove unused content or upgrade your plan before creating or uploading more. Monthly usage limits work differently. If you use all of your video playback minutes or audio plays, access to that media may be temporarily paused until your next billing cycle begins. Your QR pages, text, links, and images will remain accessible.

4. How are hosted videos counted?

Your video limit is based on the number of unique videos stored in your media library, not how many times a video is used on your pages. For example, if you use the same video on 10 different QR pages, it still counts as just one hosted video. So a Pro plan with 100 hosted videos does not mean only 100 QR pages can contain video. The same video can be reused across multiple pages.

5. What is included in file storage? Do videos count?

File storage covers images, PDFs, audio files, and other non-video uploads. Hosted videos are managed separately and do not count toward the 50 MB, 1 GB, or 10 GB file storage included with your plan. Video usage is instead limited by the number of hosted videos, maximum video length, and monthly playback minutes.

6. Which limits reset every month?

Video playback minutes and audio plays are monthly usage limits and reset at the beginning of each new billing cycle. Live QR pages, hosted videos, and file storage are account limits rather than monthly allowances. For example, Starter lets you keep up to 50 QR pages live at the same time—it does not mean you can create only 50 pages per month.

7. Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can change your plan as your needs change. Upgrading gives you access to the higher plan limits and features. If you downgrade, your current plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the new plan limits apply. If your account exceeds the limits of the lower plan, LumeQR will not immediately delete your content. Some content may be paused until you reduce your usage or upgrade again.

8. What happens to my QR pages if I cancel my subscription?

Canceling your subscription does not immediately delete your QR pages or media. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free plan and its limits apply. If your account exceeds the Free plan limits, some pages or media may be paused, but your content will not be deleted immediately. Upgrading again can restore content that has not been permanently removed. If you rely on QR codes that have already been printed or publicly distributed, we recommend checking your usage before canceling or downgrading.
